Mesut Ozil is a major doubt for Arsenal's next Premier League game as he is still struggling with illness.
The Germain international wasn't in the squad that beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on New Year's Day and he is on his way to missing the trip to Bournemouth on Tuesday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Arsene Wenger revealed that the he has been informed by the medical team that playmaker is progressing well while also raising doubts over his chances.
“I don’t know, they told me today he’s better,” Wenger said. “He’s in bed.
“Will he be good enough to be available for selection? We’ll have to wait a little bit. Maybe [on Monday].”
Being that Ozil spent the whole of last week on the sick bed, the Bournemouth game may come too early for him.
Arsenal will be hoping to secure a win against the Cherries as they did in his absence against Sam Allardyce's side less than 48 hours ago.
