At his press conference on Thursday, Arsene Wenger stated that there is no link between the return of Hector Bellerin and the proposed transfer of Carl Jenkinson.
Bellerin who has been out injured for the past one week or thereabout made a return to training yesterday.
This means he will resume activities at right back when Arsenal host Burnley at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
With a transfer for Jenkinson on the books, reporters felt that the availability of Bellerin could act as the catalyst for the English international's move to Crystal Palace but Wenger said that is in no way a yardstick in the matter.
"It is not necessarily linked with that", the Frenchman said. "Jenkinson is a possibility to go to Palace, yes, but it has not been finalised."
"It is basically down to him to find an agreement with them."
