It has been revealed that Santi Cazorla will not play for Arsenal again for the rest of the present season as a result of his ankle injury setback.
The Spanish international has not featured since sustaining a fitness problem during Arsenal's Champions League group stage tie with Ludogorets.
He was expected to make a comeback in December last year but things didn't work out as planned and Cazorla had to undergo a second surgery in the space of few months.
Press Association Sports confirmed that the 23-year-old is not recovering fast enough for him to return to first team action this season.
This certainly is a big blow to the Gunners and the boss himself lamented the long absence of the little magician.
"The dressing room needs a balance between experience and youth-team players and you need to be guided as well by some experienced players as well when you go through difficult times," Wenger said.
"They help you always to keep your feet on the ground and keep focused."
