Midfielder Ruled Out of Champions League Clash With Knee Injury

Bayern Munich are set to miss one of their top men in the Champions League clash against Arsenal on Wednesday night.

Xabi Alonso limped out of a secret training session on Monday afternoon and is a major doubt for the round of 16 tie which will be played at the Allianz Arena.

According to top German newspaper Bild, the midfielder will not be risked for the game after pulling out of training with a knee injury.

Jerome Boateng and Franck Ribery are other players who are major doubts for the game and it is believed that Carlo Ancelotti is hesitant to risk them.

Despite this injuries, the Bundesliga giants will approach the game in high spirits following a 2-0 win over Ingolstadt on Saturday.
