Arsene Wenger has played down claims that there was a dressing room bust-up involving players on Wednesday night.

Arsenal were beaten 5-1 by Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League and it was reported that Alexis Sanchez who wasn’t satisfied with the result fumed at the rest of his teammates.

It was further stated that the atmosphere angered assistant coach Steve Bould who was forced to throw a water bottle at the wall.

As expected, the media have made headlines to link the alleged actions of Sanchez to his impending exit from the club at the end of the season.

The boss however denied this during his pre-Sutton press conference on Friday saying that no confrontations occurred in the dressing room.

“A row? No. Not at all.” the Arsenal manager said at Friday’s press-conference

“Everybody was disappointed and affected but there was nothing other than a huge sadness and disappointment.”
