Arsenal supporters are planning to stage a peaceful protest against manager Arsene Wenger whose time they feel is up at the club.

The aggrieved supporters according to the Sun will march from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium before their Champions League round of 16 return leg tie against Bayern Munich on March 7.

Just as they did in April last year, they are going to come out in thousands to demand the sack of the Frenchman whose tactics seem outdated.

The Gunners are almost out of the Champions league, currently thirteen points behind Chelsea and out of the EFL Cup, meaning they only have the FA Cup to fight for.

Speaking in an interview, frustrated season-ticket holder Mark King said: “Our protest during the home game with Norwich last season didn't work because people were worried about being singled out by Wenger supporters during the game."

"That was the only time all season that the crowd sang Wenger's name. But the same people were giving the manager dog's abuse when we went 4-1 down to Liverpool in our first game of this season.

“We will urge the board to withdraw the new contract offer on the table for Wenger.

“Arsene will always be an Arsenal legend. He's been a fantastic manager. But now it is time for him to leave with his head held high before things get even worse."
