The news of Conte's immense interest in the Chilean international has been making headlines in recent days but according to Wenger, Alexis is happy in London.
It isn't a big surprise that such rumours are springing up at this time due to the fact that the Gunners have still not made any headway in contract negotiations with forward.
The 28-year-old is frustrated with the seeming lack hunger for success in the team and wants a move to a club where he will contend seriously for trophies.
Quizzed about the reported switch of his player to Stamford Bridge, Wenger responded:
"In a positive way, there's only one team in London, so he's happy," the Frenchman told reporters. "I have not a lot to add. I think he's happy here. We have not extended his contract yet, but I hope he will stay at the club.
"You have to be cautious when they give interviews in their home country. The interpretation is not always correct. [Players went to rival clubs] before when we had to sell our best players, but that's not the case any more. He has one and half years contract. I don't think it is an immediate concern for Arsenal."
Sanchez's recent interview sparked all these rumours up. He made it known that he will like to end his contract in London and play for a London club which has a winning mentality. Read more on that here.
