The news oF Arsenal on the verge of completing a move for Lucas Torreira has spread like wildfire over the last few weeks and I can also tell you that after him, another will follow.
Several indications have shown that the Uruguay international whose side recently crashed out of the World Cup has left Sampdoria for no other place but NortH-London. Sampdoria's President confirmed it, some of his relatives have also given green light and even the player himself has given interviews where he stylishly talked about his imminent move to the Emirates Stadium.
Aside all the sources mentioned above we have also heard from some reputable personalities one of who is the BBC correspondent David Orstein. Those who him know he is many a times on track when he gives such updates. This morning he has revealed that two medicals will be holding at London Colney today, that of Torreira from Sampdoria and 19-year-old France U-20 midfielder Matteo Guendouzi. I heard of the latter's £8 million signing from Lorient yesterday but needed to be sure it wasn't just one of those mere rumours and with Orstein's statement, I can say that it's going to be reality
Conducting of medicals for these two will mean imminent announcemnets of their transfer by Arsenal. That should be done today or probably tomorrow. Stay tuned!
