Arsenal Handed Fair Europa League Group

Arsenal alongside other sides who qualified to play in the UEFA Europa League found out the group they belong to and who they will be playing against in this season's edition.

The draw which held on Friday saw Arsenal, one of the twelve teams in Pot One, emerge as one of those to compete in group E

We will face Sporting Clube de Portugal, Qarabag FK and FC Vorskla Poltava in the first stage of the European contest.

This draw will see the Gunners make a trip to Portugal, Azerbaijan and Ukraine to ignite their hopes of winning European glory after their nasty semi-final exit from the tournament last season.

There are speculations stating that Henrikh Mhikitaryan may be left out of the travelling squad when the time comes for Arsenal to fly to Qarabag because Armenians are banned from entering their country.

The former Manchester United midfielder while in Borussia Dortmund was not included in the team that travelled for a game in Azerbaijan for security reasons.

On the surface, this draw is one that is not expected to give us sleepless nights as the teams we have in our groups aren't our match and with a manager who won the trophy on three consecutive occasions, we should be aiming for the best.
