Big Boost for Arsenal Ahead of New Season

Arsenal have received a big boost ahead of their opening Premier League fixture against Manchester City on Sunday.

The Gunners welcomed Aaron Ramsey back in training today shortly after he pulled out of last week's preseason game against Chelsea. The Welshman arrived in time as predicted. He however did not train with the rest of his teammates. At this stage he is still working with the fitness team.

Also in training today was Danny Welbeck. It was his first training since the end of the World Cup as he had been on break even though he didn't make any reasonable appearance for the England national team in Russia. In fact, he played just 11 minutes altogether.

With the change of administration at Arsenal, we gathered that Unai Emery has told Welbeck that he will not get the needed playing time under him. The club is even considering offers for him if they get a good one.

His current predicament did not put him under unnecessary pressure while in training today. You can see him all smiles in the picture below.

Nacho Monreal is another player that showed up today. Like Ramsey, the Spanish international just recovered from a knee injury he sustained at the World Cup and was also with the physios.

Arsenal will hope to have him totally fit in time to feature against the current league title holders on Sunday.
