'Give Him the Captaincy': Fans React Following First League Win

Arsenal clinched their first win in the 2018/19 English Premier League season when they hosted neighbours West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The 3-1 victory which was their third league game and second home match under Unai Emery saw the likes of Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck shine as they scribbled their names in the score-sheet.

The Gunners went behind after conceding from an Amautovic strike before Monreal put them on level terms.

An own goal from Diop gifted Arsenal the lead and as it had been written that the God of soccer was never gonna forsake Arsenal, the third showed up from a substitute, Danny Welbeck.

The English international hit the ground running in his first game, sparking reactions from supporters, some of who already lost faith in him long ago.

The former Manchester United striker had less of an impact at the Russia 2018 World Cup but looks to be on the verge of securing a place ahead of his rivals, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette - both are yet to score a goal so far this season.

Consistency will win him a place in Unai Emery's hear although getting the captaincy is not something I see coming to pass.
