INJURY NEWS: Four Arsenal Players Still Far From Return

Arsenal will make a trip to Cardiff City on Sunday afternoon and ahead of the crucial game, the club's medical team has given an update on player fitness.

In this one, none of the players talked about will make a return as early as September. The closest will be available by October.

Sead Kolasinac suffered a left foot injury during the International Champions Cup game with Chelsea in preseason and was scheduled to return in eight weeks. There is no change to the initial prediction as he is expected to return in October.

Another player on the Arsenal lengthy-span injury list is Ainsley Maitland-Niles. The 20-year-old sustained minor fracture in the first half of Arsenal's game against Manchester City and will remain on the sideline till at least November.

As for captain Laurent Koscielny, November is the month he will make a comeback if he suffers no setback.

The Frenchman underwent a surgery which totally ruled him out of the Russia 2018 World Cup tournament. Unluckily for him his national side won the gold medal.

Carl Jenkinson aims to show up in training either in late October or early November as a result of a sprained right ankle.

Overall, it isn't so crazy as it used to be on the injury front. Let us hope they all return at the appropriate time while also praying that we do not lose more players to the medical table.
