The 19-year-old had started all three games for the Gunners so far this season and in the big games against Manchester City and Chelsea, he was the man of the moment for the club.
It is however shocking that there had been a twist after last weekend's 3-1 win over West Ham United.
On the back of his impressive display before the encounter of Saturday, he had been greatly lauded for his immediate impact in the team.
The youngster was below par as against his performance in previous games and fans have wasted no time in airing their views and disappointment.
Wilshere not being able to keep pace with Guendouzi and dragging him down is nice symbolism or something— Lewis (@LGAmbrose) August 25, 2018
Thanks for the memories Guendouzi but it's time to play two senior CMs and let him develop like a normal 19 year old would out of the limelight x— CD14 (@c_d_14) August 26, 2018
Is there no senior member of the squad sensible enough to pull Guendouzi aside and tell him to curb his forays? Or the gaffer should bark it to him. Abandoning the defensive side of his job totally.— Dr. Mohammed Amali 🇳🇬 (@MoAmali) August 25, 2018
If further trials prove that he is not yet ripe for the first team then it will be okay to let him become an understudy which he even is at the moment (forget the fact that he has started all games so far).)
