It was another blissful day for Arsenal. The red and white army of Unai Emery recorded a third consecutive win following their poor start to the season.

Still unable to record a clean sheet, the Gunners moved past Newcastle United with a 2-1 lead and you know what? The goals came from two players who had been objects of massive criticism in recent times.

The hosts gave Arsenal a tough time in the first half but could do less to stop them after the break. Granit Xhaka was the one who opened scoring for the day.

The Swiss international scored via a curling freekick in the 49th minute. His long range effor did not come as a surprise to many who already knew the kind of strikes he is fond of.

The 58th minute came and it was Ozil that gave an extended lead with a rebound from an Alex Lacazette. It was an important goal on the German midfielder's 200th appearance for the club.

We conceded a late one but ended up triumphant with three points and that was what mattered on a Saturday evening.
