Mesut Ozil Sends Out Positive Message Ahead of Cardiff Trip

Mesut Ozil has taken to Twitter to make an update ahead of Arsenal's Premier League clash with Cardiff City on Sunday.

The German could not do much to help his side avoid consecutive defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea in the first two opening fixtures and was not even in the team that tasted victory against West Ham United last week.

Illness was the reason Unai Emery cited for his omission from the squad although some sources revealed earlier that the duo's bust-up in training caused it.

The latest tweet from the former Real Madrid star suggests that he is now fit (that is if we are to go by the claim that he was ill) to return to action for the Gunners.
Ozil suffered criticism after the eviction of Germany from the group stage of the 2018 World Cup, a deed that prompted his untimely retirement from national team football.

While still battling to recover from the massive trauma that put him into, many questioned his commitment to the Arsenal team following 2-0 and 3-2 losses to Manchester City and Chelsea respectively.

As it stands, the 29-year-old seem to be going through hard times especially now that he will not always be deployed in his favourite position which is the No. 10 spot. Emery even said yesterday that he should be ready to accept whichever role he is offered in as much as such move is aimed at making the club progress.

We will see how he fits into the new manager's plan as we all know him to be a no-nonsense man unlike our previous meek boss. Let us hope they do not end up throwing punches someday.
