Arsene Wenger wins at 2015 edition | Twitter |
We have been informed that Arsene Wenger will be given a Lifetime Achievers Award at the Leaders Sports Award tomorrow.
The former Arsenal boss who stepped down at the end of last season will join others who have in one way or the other contributed to the growth and development of world sports at the event that will hold in London on Wednesday night.
The Frenchman will be accompanied by his close friend, former Arsenal and Football Association vice-chairman, David Dein.
Arsenal's Managing Director Vinai Venkatesham falls on the list of 67 judges to be involved in the awards with categories like Content Creation, Innovation, Live Experience, On Screen Experience and Sponsorship.
Much has not been heard of Wenger since he bid Arsenal farewell. He is not the loud type anyway and we guess he is enjoying his well-deserved break after 22 years in charge at the Emirates Stadium during which he hit some feats like the 2003/04 Invincible stint.
Along with Zidane, He is one of the options being considered to take over at the currently embattled Bayern Munich but I doubt if he will want to take up a job with any club due to his loyalty to Arsenal Football Club.
