The winning run for Arsenal continued while I was away as I had to obey nature’s call to stay bedridden for days. I became a bit better by the time we were to face Leicester City but as per medical ethics, I just had to resist the temptation not to watch it. The most important thing was that we won. Yes, that was all that mattered for the night.

The boys once again showed a never dying spirit to see off a side which pundits before the game felt were too strong for us to crack. Good enough, some of them were put to shame at the end of the game even though they still failed to give kudos to Arsenal. They as usual began with their popular fairytale of “Arsenal have not played against a big team, hence, their continuous victories”.

Monday night’s 3-1 victory, the first game after the boring international break, made it ten straight wins in all competitions and seven consecutive triumphs in the league so far this season. The visitors had taken the lead through a Hector Bellerin deflection but the Arsenal captain for the night Mesut Ozil drew us back to level terms just moments before the break.

Pierre-EmerickAubameyang came on in the second half and in less than six minutes of being on the pitch, the Gabonese had scored two goals to take his tally to eight this season. Ozil was again actively involved in both goals.

It became ten over ten for Arsenal, the first of its kind since 2007. That results places the Gunners on fourth spot with twenty-one points, just two below Manchester City and Liverpool who are tied on points and in first and second position respectively.

Up next will be our trip to Portugal today in preparation for Thursday’s game with Sporting. That will be our third Europa League match for the season. Hopefully, we’ll get another three points like in our first two fixtures.
