Arsenal could make January move for Under | Credit: Getty |
Arsenal are said to be set to make contact with an Italian side to ascertain the possibility of them getting an attacking midfielder as a replacement for Henrihk Mkhitaryan.
The Gunners have been out of the Champions League for two consecutive seasons and Unai Emery in a bid to secure a place for the side he took charge of in May is looking to make a few additions when the winter transfer window opens in January.
With Danny Welbeck already ruled out on the long term through an ugly ankle injury and Mkhitaryan's future at the Emirates Stadium in doubt, the Spanish boss is weighing a move for a lethal attacker.
According to widespread claims, scouts have already been sent to keep tabs on Cengiz Under who currently plies his trade at Roma.
The £44 million-valued 21-year-old has been impressive for his team in the Serie A so far this season and is seen as one who will add more spark to the present Arsenal squad.
Arsenal could face stiff competition from rivals Manchester United as the Red Devils also have interest in signing the former Basaksehir man.
