RB Leipzig have thrown a dig at Arsenal fans for demanding playtime for Emile Smith Rowe, saying their noise on social media is louder than the engine of a jet. Bayern Munich did something similar before and after last season's Champions League draw, then when they won 5-1.
The Gunners before the close of the winter transfer window last week sealed a loan deal for the youngster at the German club but he was left out of the side that got a 3-0 win over Hannover 96 on Friday night. This prompted fans of the London club to request his immediate involvement in the team.
The Bundesliga club in response to the campaign of the aggrieved Arsenal supporters took to its official Twitter handle to make a pictorial presentation which is a crazy swipe at them. In the image captioned "Noise levels of everyday sounds' one can see Arsenal fans emerging top when talking of noise level. Even a jet engine is not as loud as they are, according to the picture.
Smith Rowe's exclusion on the night was as a result of a knock he had sustained even before making the loan transfer which will see him ply his trade with Leipzig till the end of the season. It was not without a genuine reason.
The attacking midfielder, as confirmed by his new manager, will not be available for full training for a period of two to three weeks after which he will be fully integrated into the team.
One can understand why the Arsenal fans are so anxious to see attacking midfielder Smith Rowe in action. He is one of the teenagers tipped to be top class in future, so leaving him out of games while on loan will be detrimental to his form and progress. He was temporarily leased out because he was not getting enough time on the field of play, so if he won't play at his new club, why the loan switch?
The U19 Englishman impressed greatly in the few appearances he made for Arsenal before leaving. His senior team debut came in September when Unai Emery's men faced Vorskla Poltava in the UEFA Europa League and he made three additional appearances after then, scoring thrice.
