Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to troll Tottenham Hotspur following an announcement made on their official handle earlier today.
The Lilywhites confirmed that the North London derby which is scheduled to hold on March 3 will hold at Wembley, not the new White Hart Lane.
The update from Spurs meant that they have set three different dates to open their new ground, none of which had worked out. The first target was the start of the 2018/19 season, the second was September while the most recent was March.
According to the club, there is still work to be done in areas of 'safety systems' and as such, the venue will not be set to host any games by the time they play Arsenal.
Upon this update, Arsenal supporters rushed into the thread and dropped trolls to taunt their bitter rivals. Many of them stated that the main reason behind their update is that they are scared to lose to Arsenal in their first game on the ground. I had same view as soon as I read about the development too. Lol! See few tweets from Gunners.
Hahaha! Why not swallow your pride and tell the world that you are scared of losing to my dear @Arsenal on your first game on your new ground— Ameh Joseph (@Jossey_Official) February 7, 2019

- Britain have finally left the EU
- Klopp has just won his first pre season trophy
- Spurs are still at Wembley
The accusation of the Arsenal faithfuls is right if we are to go by what some of their fans posted in reply to their club's update.
Would of preferred to play this at Wembley, can't have the first game at the new lane against them in case we lost, imagine that. Silver linings— Heung Min Sonaldo 🌪️🔥 (@HeungMinSonSzn) February 7, 2019
Can't believe nobody else has said it! Losing the first match at the new stadium to that lot is the stuff nightmares are made of.— Greg (@BojanglesSweetT) February 7, 2019
Don’t want Arsenal being the first game anyway to be honest.— Lee Smith (@LeeSmith2000) February 7, 2019
Arsenal will travel to Huddersfield Town on saturday and it was during Unai Emery's press conference for the game that he gave a savage reply when asked of his opinion on the postponement of Tottenham's ground.
The weekend's clash is a must win for Arsenal who are still in the fight for a top four finish. Manchester United's 1-0 win over Leicester and their 3-1 loss to Man City on Sunday threw them to sixth position.
