Arsenal have got a host of players who have been tagged 'the future of the club' by many and Sokratis Papastathopoulos has confirmed faith in one of them.
The Greek international defender is confident that Konstantinos Mavropanus will one day make it to the top where he will be noticed by the whole world.
Sokratis since arriving the Emirates Stadium in the summer has built a very strong and inseparable relationship with the 21-year-old defender and his fellow compatriot. In fact, he has been like a father to the youngster.
Mavropanus signed from Pas Giannina in Janujary 2017. Then, it was advised that he be loaned out to gain more experience but the impressive displays of the lad in training made Arsene Wenger hold on to him.
He was given the opportunity to make his debut during Arsenal's trip to old Trafford where he was on top of his game. He continued with his excellence the following week in a 5-0 triumph over Southampton and has since then been a fans' favourite.
Mavropanus was not fortunate as he missed the first half of the season under Unai Emery as a result of injury. He has since returned and made his first action of the campaign in the 3-1 loss to Manchester City - it was a substitute appearance.
He is now looking to seal a place in the squad, a task that should not be hard for him to achieve considering how often Arsenal players get injured.
Despite his struggles to become relevant ones again, Sokratis has tipped him to make it to the top and even better than he {Sokratis} has been.
'Dinos can become much better than me and it will be bad for him to have Papastathopoulos as a ceiling," said the 30-year-old. "I am telling you that Mavropanos has all the assets to become better than Papastathopoulos."
Konstantinos could be selected for Thursday's Europa League round of 32 second leg tie at the Emirates Stadium even though he was left out of the side who lost 1-0 to BATE Borisov last week.
