Arsenal ended their five-day visit to Dubai in grand style as they secured a 3-2 win over Al-Nasr on Tuesday afternoon.
The friendly match that gave several youngsters a chance was staged to launch the renovated 15 000-capacity Al-Maktoum Stadium.
Despite being the underdogs prior to the game, the hosts took the lead when Fernandez curled a scary shot from the edge of the area into the top corner.
In the build-up to that goal, Shkodran Mustafi once again annoyed fans with his ridiculous fall to the ground, making many of them react via their social media profiles.
Mustafi cost Arsenal £35m 🤦♂️— 888sport (@888sport) March 26, 2019
Is he the worst Arsenal signing in the past decade? pic.twitter.com/nM81aHMBL8
Mustafi. What a joke of a defender. #afc— 姫 (@SweGoose) March 26, 2019

Smh, just seen this from Mustafi.— 𝒟𝒶𝓋𝑒 ⁹ (@Dave9AFC) March 26, 2019
He better be gone in the summer, ain’t having another season of this pathetic excuse of a centre back. pic.twitter.com/ZtrbcBUcIS
Don’t play mustafi ever again or we won’t get top 4. Scraping past part time workers is not acceptable. Stop conceding and sort the fucking defence out— TórreiraFanAccount (@quinnemily2000) March 26, 2019
Mustafi must be sold this summer— #OzilOut (@HerbertChapman0) March 26, 2019
Getting ripped apart by these part time Camel merchants and no surprise at fault for their goal
Even worse than the likes of Senderos Squilacci Stepanovs Cygan Silvestre for me@MustafiOfficial #LEAVE 🤡🤡🤡
Mustafi is a having a disaster class against Al Nasr, bin that 🤡 as soon as the season ends, even if it means terminating his contract. Worst centre back at Arsenal in my life time and we’ve had some absolute shocking ones along the way.— Unai’s at the wheel 🔴🔴 (@LeeGunner82) March 26, 2019
Someone tell the Dubai authorities Mustafi insulted the king or something.— Daley (@DaleyAFC) March 26, 2019
Mustafi is pure banter.— AFCAMDEN (@AFCAMDEN) March 26, 2019
The lads are rightly out there not giving a shit but it's still mad how bad Mustafi is considering the opposition. Why is he always on the floor?— CD14 (@c_d_14) March 26, 2019
I wonder how many goals Arsenal have conceded in the past few years with Mustafi lying on the floor somewhere on the pitch?— Charles Watts (@charles_watts) March 26, 2019
Will throw a big party when Mustafi finally leaves.— Gurjit (@GurjitAFC) March 26, 2019
Sell Mustafi or we riot.— Bloody Özil (@goonerzk) March 26, 2019
Following the making of five changes by Unai Emery at the start of the second half., Alexandre Lacazette made it two. A Mesut Ozil flick from an Ainsley-Maitland-Niles pass aided the Frenchman.
Three more youngsters came on and it was one of them who scored Arsenal's third. Tyreece John-Jules slotted home having dispossessed Mohamed Marzouk.
The 18-year old has scored twelve times for the youth teams this season but yesterday's goal gave him unquantifiable delight as he celebrated in front of the Arsenal crowd.
A Khalid Jalal goal from the penalty spot doubled Al-Nasr's goal tally but it was Arsenal that left the ground victorious.
Competitive football action resumes for Arsenal with a game with Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium which will be their first Premier League game since beating Manchester United before the international break.
