Many have asked repeatedly why Arsenal brought Denis Suarez in when they won't make good use of him.
Well, from a statement issued by football pundit, Julien Laurens, his omission from the starting lineup is not without a genuine reason.
The Barcelona man was signed on a 6-month loan till the end of the season with the option for a permanent deal but unfortunately, he has not started any game since arriving as the only winter transfer signing.
Suarez has made just six appearances since January - all as a substitute - thereby fueling rumours that the club have decided they will not keep him beyond the end of the season.
According to Laurens, no one expected what the 25-year-old has turned out to be. His words indicate that the guy who once played under Emery at Sevilla is not doing well in training.
Yeah I think so [the money can be spent elsewhere],” Laurens said on Premier League Today.
“It hasn’t really worked out for Suarez.
“It is nothing Emery could have guessed before, anyone else at the club, not even Suarez.
“On paper he looked like a good signing, it’s a loan, let’s see what he can do in England.
“It turns out even at training maybe Emery has seen that he was not good enough to give him more game time.
“So I think this one obviously is not going to go any further."
Laurens expects Arsenal to be prudent with their spendings by buying only players that will make an impact on the team as they won't be having enough money to spend on transfers this summer.
