American Celebrity Held Responsible for Arsenal Loss

aubameyang meets drake

Football fans have trooped out in their numbers to make fun of a recent trend involving Drake on social media networking site, Twitter.

The Canadian rapper's tour of Europe saw him stage a series of shows at the Oâ‚‚ Arena last week during which he posed for photos with one of his fans, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese international came on for Arsenal in the second half on Sunday but could not avert a 1-0 loss to Everton and several people have linked it to the popular Drake curse.

Some sportsmen that in one way or the other come in contact with Drake in the past went on to face misfortune. This is nothing more than a coincidence - the mischievous world of Twitter is not seeing it that way. Lol!

Talk on the Drake curse syndrome was resurrected over the weekend following the 5-0 defeat of Borussia Dortmund by Bayern Munich shortly after Jadon Sancho's hangout with the celebrity.

Sergio Aguero also seems to have had his own share of the spell even though in his own case, it did not manifest immediately. The Argentine star lost a penalty as Manchester City recorded a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

Eyes are now on Manchester United's Paul Pogba who was also involved with Drake last month. It's Champions League with Barcelona tonight... Hmmmm!
