This Shows Arsene Wenger Still Has Arsenal at Heart

Arsene Wenger is no longer at Arsenal Football Club but it is clear from all indications that he still has them deep in his heart. This is evident in a confession he made in an interview.

The Frenchman left the North London side after a reign of 22 years to be succeeded by Unai Emery whose first season has not been a disaster judging by the short time he has spent there.

The Spaniard started well by taking his side through a 22-match unbeaten run. However, Arsenal have endured a very poor form away from home as well as a run of disappointing displays against Crystal Palace, Wolves and Leicester City.

Right now, their inability to get a single point from their last three Premier League games puts them in a position where Champions League football for next season seems unattainable.

The Gunners are on fifth spot with three points behind third-placed Chelsea, with just two more games to go.

This means that their chances of staying put in the Europa League is high but Wenger while speaking on the fate of the battling teams said that he wishes Arsenal get the fourth spot as he feels Tottenham Hotspur will most likely finish where they currently are.

"You know it is amazing because a team like Tottenham is basically sure now to be in the Champions League," Wenger told bein Sport

"They've lost twelve games and so it looks like Tottenham will be in the first three and then I wish that the number four is Arsenal."
