Michael Owen Releases Prediction for Europa League Final

Just few hours from now, the Europa League final will come up in Baku and as expectations are on high from the two competing sides, Michael Owen has made his prediction on how things would play out.

The former Liverpool striker is of the view that Chelsea will come out victorious on the night, with the condition that Eden Hazard turns up as he usually does in crucial encounters like this.

“Maurizio Sarri must do without Antonio Rudiger, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi in Azerbaijan, but they do have Hazard,” the 39-year-old told BetVictor.

“I feel the brilliant Belgian will be the difference between the two sides in Baku.”

Despite giving the Stamford Bridge outfit more advantage over the Gunners, Owen did not fail to admit that the latter's striking force may end up giving Sarri and his boys a bad day.

“Arsenal’s last eight goals in Europe have been shared by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette and Emery - after much soul-searching and debate - has found a successful system to accommodate both stars into his starting XI,” Owen said.

As an Arsenal fan, I can't give any sort of confident prediction. So many things have changed after the latter years of the Wenger era when we used to be the underdogs against any top side.

There has been a slight twist to that menace since Unai Emery took over, so we should not be underrated. I hope we build on our 2-0 win over Chelsea in the Premier League in January.
