Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Jill Roord from Bayern Munich. The announcement of the deal was made on Tuesday.
The midfielder started out and progressed through the youth hierarchy at FC Twente, then later made a switch to Munich in the year 2017 . She was able to score 12 goals in her 36 appearances for them.
Jill was a part of the squad that shot Bayern into the semi-finals of the Champions League this season and her experience at the big stage will be of great benefit to Arsenal.
She has represented Netherlands at the international level having participated in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup as well as being a part of the side that won the 2017 UEFA Women's Euro competition.
Danielle van de Donk and Vivianne Miedema are current Arsenal players she has played with. The 22-year-old has also played alongside ex-Gunners Sari van Veenendaal and Dominique Bloodworth.
