Raul Sanllehi is weighing up a £44 million move which could see Laurent Koscielny depart the club this summer, widespread reports state.

The 33-year-old has a deal which will expire twelve months from now but with the club failing to resume negotiations over a new contract, he could be out before the commencement of a new term.

Interest in Samuel Umtiti by the Gunners may also act as a catalyst to Koscielny's imminent exit. The club's head of football is said to have prioritised the acquisition of the Barcelona defender as part of the team's restructuring process.

The highly-talented centre-back is out of favour at Barcelona, hence, his desire to try out his luck elsewhere. The Nou Camp outfit are believed to be making advances to sign Ajax's Matthijs de Ligt and if they succeed, they would have no option other than to offload the former Lyon man.

Umtiti has a release clause if £450 million but Barcelona with be ready to strike a deal with whoever can cough out £45 million.

As per a statement from his agent, he said that the player and club will have a talk on his future at the end of the season.

‘We will take some thinking time, we will meet with the club at the end of the season,’ said Umtiti’s agent.

‘He will also make up his own mind.’

The Europa League final will make it Koscielny's 405th game since joining in 2010. It could well be his last.
