Three Transfer Targets No Longer Want Arsenal

Arsenal no Champions league

No serious and focused individual wants to be associated with mediocrity. For this reason, Arsenal will be blaming themselves for the self-destruct they have brought upon themselves.

Wednesday night was a disappointing one for supporters all around the world as they watched their side being torn apart by Chelsea in Baku.

Prior to that match, the Gunners have been unable to secure Champions League slot for next season through the Premier League. A win in the Europa League final would have earned them an automatic slot but in their trademark fashion, they bottled it all up.

What Arsenal will be concentrating on now that the season is over for them is the improvement of their lanky squad. They'll hope to do away with the dead woods and bring in capable souls.

However, one barrier that would stand in their way apart from financial strength is their lack of participation in Europe's elite competition.

As we all know, most players want to join a team that will guarantee them Champions League action and it is no longer news that some of their potential targets already made that known.

That said, the horrific 4-1 loss which will ensure their continuity in the Europa League means that they will find it hard to convince anyone to join them.

Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha who at a time spoke of his intention to play at the Emirates would no longer be interested since there's no Champions League involved. This is the same reason Manchester United may also not get their ex this summer.

In similar vein, RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano as well as James Madison of Leicester City will be out of reach.

We will now have to struggle to get players who can compete at the big stage. Can we? I doubt at the moment. This is the sgit we have out ourselves in. We have to face it. So annoying thing.
