What was in few weeks ago uncertain has now been confirmed by Arsenal. Danny Welbeck will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
At the end of the Gunners' final home match of the season against Brighton & Hove on Sunday, the English international was given ovation, a farewell carriage clock as well as an offer of 40% off all Puma goods.
His Emirates Stadium reign which began after his £16 million transfer from Manchester United in 2014 will come to an end next month and whoever will snap him up afterwards will get him as a free agent.
Welbeck will no longer feature for the North-London side as a result of an ankle injury problem which has kept him on the sidelines since November.
The striker picked up this injury when he made a jump during Arsenal's group stage fixture with Sporting last year.
He is the second player after Aaron Ramsey who is sure to say goodbye very soon. We wish him all the best as he continues his journey elsewhere.
