Numerous reports have named Hakim Ziyech as one of Arsenal's potential summer targets following his spectacular outing with Ajax Amsterdam in the just concluded campaign and comments made by him could mean that they have a upper hand.

The 22-year-old who raked a total of 19 goals and 16 assists for the Dutch side this season will not be at the club next term as per revelation from Marc Overmars.

"He is in focus because of his achievements in the Champions League," Overmars said.

"Many big clubs are buzzing around him.

"We promised Hakim that we would agree if there is a good transfer."

The sporting director's announcement awakened the interest of top European sides who will be looking to shoot their shot when transfer business begins.

It is believed that Ziyech has a £25million release clause in his contract - a figure which any of the interested parties would want to part with without hesitation.

Among the clubs listed as suitors, Arsenal seem to be at advantage judgimg by the attacker's confession during a question and answer session he was involved in two years back.

When quizzed on his dream future career destinations, Ziyech said: "Well, I have two clubs. They are Arsenal and Barcelona. That's my ultimate dream."

On whether he has a football idol, he responded: "Yes, I actually do have one. Ozil"

It doesn't look like his second choice which is Barca will be out to get him this time, so the Emirates Stadium is a more likely destination for him.
