Petr Cech's Chelsea Sporting Director Role Announcement Unsettles Fans

A news that broke out recently have put the Arsenal fanbase in a state of worry ahead of the Europa League final in Baku.

Prior to the release of the update, some fans have called on the manger to play Bernd Leno who is the club's first-choice goalkeeper instead of allowing Cech to continue as the preferred one in the competition.

While some stated that their advise was inspired by the fact that the former is better, others were of the view that playing a Chelsea legend in such a game against Chelsea could be detrimental.

I countered this view as I do not think he would want to do such a thing. He is a professional who would also like to retire with a trophy from his last game. Besides, his legendary status at Stamford Bridge wouldn't be withdrawn if Arsenal win.

As we were still on this, a report broke out that Chelsea will be appointing the Czech international as their sporting director once he quits the Emirates Stadium. This made tensions rise the more, making the call for his exemption from goal in the Europa League final louder than ever.

This is the situation on ground now and even though the 37-year-old has revealed that his sole focus at the moment is to win the silverware for the Gunners, many supporters are not still convinced.

The veteran Cech said via Twitter: “Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before , I’ll make decision about my future after the last game. Now my sole focus is to win the EL with @Arsenal .”

Do you as an Arsenal fan go with the motion that he should be dropped? If there is any reason I would want Leno to be in goal then that will be because he will man the sticks better, not for the reason that Czech has strong Chelsea links.
