The 2019/20 season is less than two months away, so various clubs are out trying to see how they can add some spark to their squad while doing away with players that are either surplus to requirement or below par.
In this vein, Arsenal have completed their first official transfer activity which is a loan spell for Jordi Osei-Tutu. The youngster has joined VfL Bochum, a Bundesliga 2 aide.
Arsenal made the announcement of the deal on Tuesday as they revealed that he will be out there all season. The receiving club validated the claim through its sporting director, Sebastien Schindzielorz.
“Jordi Osei-Tutu is at home at right-back,” Schindzielorz said.
“He seeks out duels, is strong in dribbling and has the necessary speed. We are convinced that he can develop further here at VfL. The loan is meaningful for all participants. We are happy that it worked.”
Some saw this move coming when the right back followed Bochum on Instagram last week. He has resumed training with on Wednesday.
This move will help in the development of the 20-year-old who blew the Arsenal U23 side to six wins and two draws in eight matches in 2019. During this time, five clean sheets were recorded.
Osei-Tutu expressed delight over his new adventure as he hopes to get involved in no time. Getting playtime should not be an issue for him considering he will be playing for a lower division side. Besides, he is good at what he does.
