According to The Times, Freddie Ljungberg is due for promotion before the beginning of a new campaign. It will be one which will see him march into the first-team's technical crew.
He was the overseer of the Arsenal U23 side where he guided youngsters to become better players for the future.
The Swede will leave a void which Goal's Charles Watts understands will be filled by Steve Bould.
Bould started out management at the youth ranks prior to his switch to the first team when Pat Rice retired as Arsene Wenger's deputy, so it would be like a continuation for him. It won't be a new task for him.
Upon Wenger's exit, he remained as a helper to Unai Emery at the training ground since he knew the players better.
The reports further stated that Bould will partner with Per Mertesacker in grooming materials that would be influential to the main team sooner or later.
