Ainsley Maitland-Niles has left fans wondering if he still has Arsenal at heart or not. This is following a shocking revelation he made during a question and answer session.
The right-back enjoyed some playtime on his return from a calf injury. The fitness problem that made Hector Bellerin require surgery before ruling him out of the season was a blessing in disguise for the youngster.
The 21-year-old impressed Gunners faithfuls with his display last season but many were less than pleased with his recent utterance.
Maitland-Niles was seen participating in a game called 'Favourites'. He replied to questions, one of which inquired to know what his best stadium is.
Unexpectedly and surprisingly, the versatile player picked Old Trafford, the home of rivals Manchester United.
He went on to give a reason for that. According to him, his choice has to do with the noisy and lively atmosphere on that ground he saw his side thump Ole's men 2-0 months ago.
In their usual manner, fans have unleashed their rage on him with one calling him 'traitor' while another wanted to know if he is sane.
It won't baffle me if the rumour mill cooks up a headline like 'AMN Wants United Move'. Lol!
