After the too many speculations that have disturbed our mobile phone screens for so long, Arsenal have finally eased our blood pressure by completing and announcing a transfer.
One of the players we were linked with even before the end of the 2018/19 season has completed a switch to Arsenal. His name is Gabriel Martinelli.
He was sold to us by Sao Paolo based club, Ituano, where his outstanding display attracted our scouts prior to his pursuit.
Since his debut in 2017, the forward scored 10 goals in 34 appearances for his former club. He caught the attention of the Brazilian national team and was invited to join the team before this year's Copa America tournament.
Gabriel won the Best Newcomer Award for 2019 as well as a slot in the Campeonato Paulosta Team of 2019.
At age 18, Martinelli cost Arsenal a little below £6 million. He would join the rest of the team in preseason training soon even though it is likely he will start up in the youth ranks.
We may end up seeing another Matteo Guendouzi though. You know what I mean right?
