Arsenal 2-1 Burnley: Ceballos Shines, Auba Strikes Again

Alex Lacazette goal burnley

Arsenal gave a massive positive in our second match of the new season as we recorded a 2-1 triumph over Burnley at lunchtime on Saturday.

It's been so many years since we last saw such feat of getting all six points from our first two games. This time, two best friend in the team ensured it came to pass.

Also of great impact was our new loan arrival from Real Madrid, Dani Ceballos. The Spaniard, twisted, turned and flicked to mount pressure on our opponents. Little wonder his name was on everyone's lips after the encounter. The way he played reminded one of Santi Cazorla.

The 23-year-old delivered a corner which led to the first goal by Alexandre Lacazette upon his return from injury. The Frenchman showed his usual ruggedness before slotting home between the legs of goalkeeper Nick pope. One would have expected him to relent after losing bearing but he still did well to thrive under pressure from two defenders.

Burnley gained cojones when Ashley Barnes gave them the equaliser that still could not deliver them from leaving empty-handed. They had to even take caution upon the introduction of Nicolas Pepe after the break.

Arsenal's efforts yielded fruit later on. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a thunderous one following a pass from Ceballos. That was two winning goals in two consecutive matches. Against Newcastle United, the Gabonese was also the provider of the only goal of the day.

We now have a lot of pace in our attack and we look forward to seeing that be a strong point for us in our visit to Anfield this weekend. Hello Liverpool!

To follow after that will be the North London derby. We will once again lock horns with our arch rivals come September.

It will be great if we can get all points from the Tottenham and Liverpool ties. Yes, it is not gpoing to be a stroll in the park for us. However, if we turn on spirit and character, we may end up being top of the table in no time.l
