All seems not to be well even after the change of management which ushered the troubled Una Emery out of Arsenal.
Freddie Ljungberg once again had a sour outing as he saw his men lose to a Brighton side that had never won a game against them on their ground.
We approached the game well from the beginning but lost it in a short time. The visitors stepped up their game and posed continuous threats to.our goal.
Worthy of note is Maupay's strike towards our post but we were so lucky since Connolly couldn't connect in time. Bernd Leno did well to deny him on another attempt from distance.
The German continued with his outstanding display by palming away Propper's shot before it went red for us, courtesy a poked one from Webster amidst a scramble in the box.
Since we were unable to redeem ourselves before the end of the first period, Freddie deemed it fit to do a shuffle which saw the introduction of Nicolas Pepe.
Like at the beginning of the match, we were on point like a needle. We rode to a fierce tempo that have high hopes. Unsurprisingly, we earned an equaliser through Lacazette's header from a corner. VAR played a role when some questions arose. It stood. 1-1.
Morale became high amongst players and supporters. The away side didn't rest on their oars and still managed some shots which would have sunk is if not for our goalie.
We were able to go ahead temporarily prior to a VAR review of a Luiz goal. The Brazilian was clearly offside. Our joy was short-lived.
Our woes got compounded shortly after. Mauoay headed home to pot his side ahead. That was the match winner for the night.
Arsenal got late chances through substitutes Martinelli and Pepe. While the former saw his headed ball pushed away by Ryan, the latter sent his freekick wide.
It ended 1-2 to take the Gunners' number of games without a win to nine, our worst since 1977. Ljungberg wasn't even born yet.
Tonight's result places us at tenth spot with just a point ahead of Brighton who are thirteenth on the league log.
Our next will be away at the London Stadium of Westham United on Monday night.
