We saw a surprise inclusion in Shkodran Mustafi though supporters were disappointed not to see a Laca-Auba-Pepe combination despite the managerial change.
Right from the start of the match, it was obvious that something was different. We played in a manner we haven't seen in a while as we showed confidence by mounting pressure on the hosts. We were all out at them.
Our efforts should have paid off but Willock and Mustafi couldn't make headway through consecutive chances. Contrary to what should have been the norm, judging by the way we approached the match in the early period, Norwich took the lead first.
Pukki's strike got deflected by Mustafi and there was little Bernd Leno could do to stop us from conceding in that situation. We got a lifeline three minutes later when Zimmerman committed a foul by handling Mesut Ozil's freekick. VAR looked into it and rightly have us a penalty.
Tim Krul saved Aubameyang's strike only for VAR to come in once again. Video evidence showed encroachment from the opposition. Penalty cancelled! It was retaken and this time, Auba came out victorious. We were on level termswho
Behind we went in the brink of halftime after Norwich launched a counter attack that saw Hernandez feed Cantwell who slotted into the bottom corner. Freddie knew at this point that he had some work to do at halftime.
Norwich felt that they had to defend their lead so they were cautious not to come out attacking thereby giving us the opportunity to bombard them. Another handball was made by our opponent, however, the call was not honoured. Play on!
We equalised again. Mustafi's try from any Ozil corner was blocked and the rebound was well capitalised upon by Auba. The Gabonese got a brace to his name while taking his 10th Premier League goal of the season.
Norwich had a couple of threatening chances later in the game. We would have cried if not for Leno who made important saves to keep us in the game.
We shared points and still sit in eight spot, seven points outside the top-four zone. This made it out sixth consecutive league game without a win.
Two positives from the draw: me came out to play and also had more shots than our opponents for the first time in a long time.
