Burnley 0-0 Arsenal: Gunners Continue Points Sharing Bonanza

Arsenal made it four Premier League draws in a row with a goalless tie away at Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

Starting XI: Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi's, Luiz,Saka, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ozil, Martinelli, Lacazette, Aubameyang

Subs: Martinez, Sokratis, Torreira, Willock, Ceballos, Pepe, Nketiah.

The match was Ozil's 250th in an Arsenal shirt. The German made his presence known barely minutes from the start of the fixture. With the ball in his possession, he found Aubameyang and the latter in turn delivered into the box for Lacazette. The Frenchman's header was a miss.

Our early dominance continued, thanks to the good works of Bukayo Saka down the left flank.

Granit Xhaka was able to redeem himself by reclaiming the ball from Hendrick having lost it to Burnley earlier on. His chase down the right made that possible.

Another good chance showed up for us. Luiz threw his trademark long pass which met Aubameyang at the right place. Unfortunately, he couldn't do better than sending it wide. It's still baffling how he failed to convert that.

Bernd Leno was able to palm away Jay Rodriguez's effort from Wood's supply to keep us in a game we were never going to win.

The whole affair was just not impressive. Both sides had chances which if they had scored, would have raised the goal numbers massively. The home side got more of them. They would have gone ahead in the second half if not for the accuracy of goal-line technology.

It ended 0-0 meaning points had to be shared between the two contestants. We head to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp before returning after the break for a game at the Emirates Stafoum with Newcastle United.
