BREAKING NEWS: Premier League Suspended

After an emergency meeting to discuss the Coronavirus scare, it has been decided that all professional football games in England be suspended till at least April 3.

The Premier League, FA Cup, Championship and every other competition will be placed on hold. Female games are not left out.

The news of Mikel Arteta testing positive for COVID-19 broke late on Thursday causing a shutdown of activities both at London Colney and the Hale End Academy.

Apart from Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Bournemouth are also in the web. Players of sides that have already had coronavirus disease cases have been advised to adhere to self-isolation.

The conclusion to interrupt football activities for at least three weeks from now is a measure to avoid the spread of the infection which till now has got no cure.

Be aware that this does not mean that matches in the Premier League will resume on April 3. That date is the earliest chance it has got to resume. The suspension will have to be extended if things are still not in place by then.

Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi is also affected by the virus and is recovering well. We wish everyone facing a battle with COVID-19 a speedy recovery and hope to see them back soon.
