Arsenal Open 2020/21 Season With 3 on the Road

Arsenal demonstrated class by securing a comfortable victory on the opening day of the 2020/21 Premier League season. We scored thrice, once in the first half and twice in the other to scoop all three points and an away clean sheet.

Mikel Arteta employed the services of Gabriel, one of our summer signings in the absence of two of our centre-backs currently battling for fitness. Another summer acquisition of ours, Willian, also made his debut in the match against Fulham.

Mohamed Elneny partnered Granit Xhaka in midfield as Alexandre Lacazette was placed upfront. We had Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles as fullbacks. In goal was Bernd Leno. Others who started are Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal took the lead less than ten minutes from kickoff through Lacazette. The Frenchman finished up well following a scramble in the box to make him the scorer of the first goal of the new league season.

We doubled our lead after the break, thanks to a header from Gabriel Magalhaes who would later leave with the Man of the Match honour. It wasn't just about scoring on his debut, but his overall contribution to the win. As expected, he was a beast in defence today.

We had a greater part of the dominance at Craven Cottage, a place we are known to record high margin results. It wasn't much different this time around.

As the clock ticked on, Aubameyang received and controlled Willian's long ball then rocketed into the corner of the net to stretch the lead to a three-goal advantage. Captain with the vibe! He has started well.

History repeated itself today. The last time we visited Craven Cottage, Aubameyang and his pal Lacazette shook the net and today... You know the story.

It is worth mentioning that our new signing from Chelsea validated the assertions of many thar he will be a straight blend into the Arsenal team. We saw his skill and energy today. The Brazilian was superb on the ball. He didn't look like a new addition at all probably because he is good and has played in England for many years. His assists got the job done.

The match finished 3-0 in our favour, meaning we left with a clean sheet and all three points. This is a morale boost for tasks ahead of us.

Arsenal will be at the Emirates Stadium when we play in another London Derby on Saturday, September 19. It will be with West Ham United.
