Latest Injury Update on Kieran Tierney

Before the start of our Premier League encounter with West Ham United on Saturday night, we lost one of our players to injury.

A lot of us saw the lineup and looked forward to the game only to find out upon kickoff that there had been an altercation to the team that initially got released.

Kieran Tierney had to be pulled out due to an injury scare during warm-up and from what Mikel Arteta said after the game, he had been struggling for fitness days before then.

He made some progress but ten minutes to the commencement of the match, he complained of muscular discomfort which was why Sead Kolasinac was drafted in his place.

Arsenal were not that vibrant in the game even though we still went on to record a 2-1 win, thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.

We missed the class of the former Celtic defender and feared that the worst may have happened going by his recent injury profile. Thankfully, it isn't what we thought.

As we prepare to take on Leicester City in the Carabao Cup third round tonight, the club's medical team has issued positive news regarding the injury of Tierney.

As per the news, the left back is making good recovery and won't take weeks, months or the whole season out, he should be back in full training this week.

Did you just smile? It isn't surprising. The Scot is a very vital figure at our back. His competence there and while going forward isn't a trait anyone would want go overlook and with him around, we get a degree of assurance compared to the reverse.

Emile Smith Rowe, Sokratis, Cedric Soares will miss out of the trip to the Liberty Stadium. They are all expected to be back in not more than nine days from this moment.
