Arsenal's Carabao Cup campaign for the season started on the good books as we sealed a 2-0 victory in the third round at the King Power Stadium.
The tie with Liverpool is our third in all competition, having previously made a trip to Fulham and also hosted West Ham United on Saturday, both ending in similar fashion as tonight's.
We were greeted with an early threat from Iheanacho before Reiss Nelson hammered one which Danny Ward tipped over. Leno was quick to come to the rescue when Iheanacho raced on to Abrighton's pass in a bid to hit the back of the net.
Every attempt by both sides yielded no goal in the opening 45 minutes but not too long after restart, Nicolas Pepe's shot deflected off the post, then to Fuchs' legs and into the net. It became one nil to the Arsenal.
Nketiah lobbed the visiting goalkeeper only for Morgan to head out but no one could stop him late in the game as he doubled our lead from close range to seal our place in the next round.
For the fourth round, Arsenal will have whoever emerges victor from the Lincoln vs Liverpool clash of Thursday night.
We return to league action on Monday night and that will be a very big game at Anfield. We beat them in our last two meetings, one in the league last season and recently in the Community Shield.
