Arsenal got beaten 2-0 by Tottenham Hotspur in the first North London derby of the campaign that took place on Sunday.
It was another horrible league defeat for us as our obvious dominance over our neighbours still did not create us good chances.
We looked impressive from the start and in the first few minutes of the encounter, we had two chances through Bukayo Saka and Thomas but none of them gave room for a Partey. Both were off target.
A counter-attack from Spurs made us concede our first. We continued to play well after Son Heung-min had slotted in the opener. The issue of creativity lack still haunted us.
Tottenham's tactics of sitting back worked out for them. They were able to double their lead on the break once again when Alexandre Lacazette's cross at Hector Bellerin was interrupted and then they forged forward to score. Harry Kane became the highest goalscorer in the North London derby with that goal.
Dani Ceballos came in for the injured Partey. His presence changed our gameplay. We kept our opponents in their half, yet still could not penetrate.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lacazette both had headers, the former's went over while the latter had his denied by Hugo Lloris.
More than 25 cross Arsenal sent into the box could not break the Tottenham defence and we had to leave with nothing. That completed our four league matches without a win.
We fly to Ireland to face Dundalk in our last group stage game of the Europa League. All points have been claimed so far. Three more are out for grabs but whatever happens, we are sure to finish top of Group B.
