As earlier feared Kierran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal, the only two left=backs we have are big doubts for this weekend's clash. I mentioned yesterday that Wenger was hopeful they'll both be fit. However in his press conference today, he made it clear that the duo have a bleak chance of making the trip. Thomas Vermaelen on the other hand would be available. This will mean the Arsenal captain will start at lleft-back even though that is not his normal position.
Mesut Ozil might have come to the end of his sabbatical as he has been tipped to feature for the Gunners. After a series of underperformance, the 25-year old German international midfielder had to be left out of our last game against Sunderland. There were no updates on Jack Wilshere and Laurent Koscielny. Both got knocks in our last game too. The manager's silence on their cases might be they are okay.
One thing giving me the confidence thatWilshere has no serious fitness problem is that he and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been included in the England team to play a friendly match with Denmark at Wembley next week. Gibbs was not listed. That's all!!!
