When asked about his player's most recent controversy the Frenchman responded by saying he knew nothing about what transpired between Nicky and the cab operator but said he was going to have a chat with the want-away striker. Wenger also revealed he would be fined for breaching the club's regulations as no one gave him the permission to leave North-London for Denmark.
“Honestly, I don’t know what happened [in Copenhagen]. I haven’t spoken to him [Bendtner]. The only thing that is for sure, he had nothing to do in Copenhagen, said Monsieur Wenger.
“Nobody gave him any permission to go to Copenhagen. He will be fined for that. For the rest, has he created some trouble? I don’t know. I will speak to him today.”
Quizzed on whether Bendtner's most recent misbehaviour has put an end to his stay at Arsenal Wenger said: “Look, he’s at the end of the contract at the end of the season.”
What does the boss last statement mean to you? I would interpret it as meaning that the Danish will be allowed to go as soon as his contract expires. They are already fed up with him.
