I posted a news yesterday in which Bayern's chairman said they were no more interested in signing Julian Draxler from Schalke 04. That means Arsenal are free from any competition to secure the signature of the youngster. Another source just confirmed the fact that one of the players on our shortlist is not open to a transfer away from the club. The Croatian international's place will surely come under threat by the time Robert Lewandowski joins at the end of the summer but Rummenigge insists he will remain at the Allianz Arena;
"I am aware that several clubs are interested in him but I think he will stay past the end of this season, he confirmed.
"I am noticing something by the players. They know what it means to play for Bayern and they appreciate it. They live in a beautiful city, a beautiful stadium, the best manager and the club is well known internationally."
If Mario Mandzukic is not available to us then we should look elsewhere. There are streams of world class strikers out there so we can still pull some strings during the window.
