Sinus Problem Kept Aubameyang Out of Wolves Game

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was a surprise omission from the squad that lost 3-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night.

Unai Emery employed a very strong side although the Gabonese international did not surface at all in the lineup released prior to kick-off.

Knowing fully well that fans would like to know why Auba was left in London, the Arsenal official Facebook page, as soon as it published the lineup, followed up with a comment to state the reason behind his absence.

According to the release, the club's highest goalscorer for the season was battling with a minor sinus problem which he has been receiving treatment for back at home.

A trip to Leicester City is in view and we expect the 29-year-old to get well in time to feature at lunchtime on Sunday.

Arsenal could return to fourth spot on that day if they get all three points at the King Power Stadium. This possibility largely depends on the outcome of the Manchester United vs Chelsea clash.
