Arsenal will head down to the Merseyside to continue their quest for Champions League qualification for next season.
The Gunners have been in fine form with their most recent match ending in a 2-0 victory for them. They rose to third prior to Tottenham Hotspur's win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday and could reclaim that spot if they get all three points from Sunday afternoon's encounter.
In the build-up to today's game, Unai Emery had a number of short-term fitness issues to cope with. Captain Laurent Koscielny, Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey were all doubts but news coming in has it that two of the lot are back in full training.
The first two totally missed out of the Newcastle match due to injury while Ramsey, the first goalscorer, could not complete the game.
The boss at his press conference revealed that Ramsey has returned as he was involved with the first team on Friday. He further stated that scans will be held to ascertain if Xhaka would be fit to play.
"We are waiting on tomorrow’s training, some players - Xhaka, Koscielny - didn’t train - with us today," he told reporters. "They are working with the physios.
"Today Aaron Ramsey started training normally and the other players are well."
Training pictures seen over the weekend indicate the return of Xhaka as well. The Swiss international was with the likes of Ramsey, Lacazette and Ozil to prepare for the Everton match.
Lucas Torreira whose suspension will be completed after today's game, Eddie Nketiah, Konstantinos Mavropanus, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Matteo Guendouzi were also spotted.
